A little about me..

Nabeel Hyatt is Venture Partner at Spark Capital and a serial entrepreneur. Most recently General Manager at Zynga, he has a passion for product design and is driven by working with folks putting a dent in the world.

Nabeel joined Zynga via the acquisition of social gaming pioneer Conduit Labs, where he was Founder and CEO and developed several high growth products including Music Pets. The acquisition by Zynga founded Zynga Boston where he and his team developed Adventure World, which peaked at over 40m monthly users.

Originally a designer and engineer, Nabeel has spent over 15 years operating as CEO, founder, and VP Product in a variety of markets including consumer electronics, mobile, sports media, social networking and of course social gaming.

Earlier in his career, Nabeel was VP of Product Development for Ambient Devices, an MIT Media Lab startup creating glanceable technology; embedding Internet information in everyday objects like light bulbs, mirrors, refrigerators, and umbrellas to make the physical environment an interface to digital media. Ambient was named in “Ideas of the Year” by the New York Times in 2002 and Nabeel was nominee for the Top Innovators Under 30 by MIT Technology Review.

In the go-go 90’s he helped lead internetsoccer.com, sold to Teamtalk plc, which went public in 2000. He was then COO at Teamtalk USA, a sports web content company with the #1 trafficked sports site in much of Europe. Nabeel studied computer science at Purdue University, and design at Maryland Institute, College of Art.

I’ve got a strong love of international soccer, and an unfortunate aversion to excersise. I’ve lived in a strange set of places, from Thailand to Indiana to England to North Carolina, and currently am a resident of Cambridge, MA. I’ve got a wife, kids, and consider myself very lucky to be able to build things I love.
